Students from the Academic Unit of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics at the Autonomous University of Zacatecas, enrolled in the Veterinary Public Health course, are carrying out the One Health project under the Health Education scheme in the most vulnerable communities, addressing the natural history of zoonotic diseases and their necessary elements in community prevention.

This year, we’re celebrating One Health Day on October 30 with a look into the “frightening and fantastic” world of fungi! Join us at the UT Student Union to learn about the complex interactions of fungi in human, animal, plant, and environment health. You’ll also learn about the mushrooms of Appalachia and the critical roles fungi play in culinary arts. Fungi-forward refreshments will be provided, and Halloween costumes are encouraged!

Organized by the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU) in alignment with World One Health Day, the 4th One Health Seminar will take place on November 3rd and 4th, 2026. This event addresses the urgent challenges posed by climate change, extreme weather events, and their impacts on global and local health.
