"The Ocean Health Symposium "Emerging Marine Diseases, Regulations and Governance " will explore the interdependencies of ocean disease, extreme events and the overall integrity of ocean ecosystems, referred to as “Ocean Health”. Extreme events such as heat waves are increasing disease outbreaks with consequences on ocean ecosystem functioning, while many of the emerging pathogens are still unknown.
