The International Symposium on Veterinary Medicine (SIMVET) is a biennial professional-scientific even occurring since 2006. The main focus of the 2019 meeting is the study and debate of the role of One Health on the theme of bacterial resistance to antimicrobials and rational use in Veterinary Medicine. The organizing committee believes that global researchers have questioned the overuse of antimicrobials in veterinary medicine, especially in animal production.
