Join the Center for Biological Diversity on Monday, November 17 at 2 p.m. ET for a free One Health webinar with community leaders about how to protect reproductive health during disasters. One Health will be highlighted in the opening remarks. ..............
Climate emergencies like hurricanes can disrupt access to abortions and contraception, increase sexual risk-taking behaviors, and limit healthcare services, resulting in higher rates of sexually transmitted infections and unintended pregnancies.................
To address these challenges, the Center developed Sexual Health Emergency Preparedness (SHEP) Kits, which bridge reproductive justice, gender equity, and climate resilience to help communities prepare before disaster strikes. This webinar will highlight the SHEP mutual aid campaign as a model for how to meet reproductive health needs while empowering communities to integrate sexual health into their emergency preparedness plans.
