GEO Health Community of Practice Analyzes One Health Topics for One Health Day 2024

The Group on Earth Observations (GEO) Health Community of Practice organized a teleconference that offered scientific talks on building One Health capacity and exploring One Health research applications. First, one panelist described the Competencies for One Health Field Epidemiology (COHFE) framework, developed by FAO, WHO, and WOAH, to support countries as they use the multisectoral One Health approach to enhance field epidemiology capacity. Second, one panelist highlighted understanding the risk of spillover across landscapes and shared research findings from the GEO Biodiversity Observation Network (BON) team.
