Conference: Current One Health, Thought Journey Beyond The Zoonotic Threats...

The term “One Health” emerged from the synergistic harmful effects of the ongoing ‘Complex Health Problems’ of the 21st century. The “intellectual origin” of One Health begins with the invention of the term “zoonosis” by Rudolf Virchow in the 19th century. The “One Health Thought” maintained its place in the literature simultaneously with scientific developments in the first half of the 20th century with the approach of “Public Health” and “Veterinary Public Health” from 1946 to 1965, and “One Medicine” in the last half. In the last quarter of the Anthropocene, the ‘synergy’ of ecological, anthropogenic threats and microbial, environmental health problems have evolved the holistic health idea into “One Health”. The scientific knowledge and experiences on the agenda of the academy have enabled the One Health Thought to evolve “beyond zoonotic problems”. “Ecological, Climatic, Ecotoxicological threats and ongoing health effects” will be discussed in our conference.
